Mix 2 pieces Borax with 1 part h2o. Dip a toothbrush into your paste and scrub the remaining adhesive off. The dry nature of Borax will cause the adhesive to dry in turn, which makes it easier to push off of surfaces.  It will take around weekly for the mattress bugs to get thoroughly killed
